The Wyoming Business Council (WBC) Board of Directors and the Wyoming Main Street (WMS) Advisory Board will both hold quarterly meetings next week in person in Laramie, Wyoming, and concurrently via Zoom. The WBC also is hosting a dynamic public work session with University of Wyoming (UW) students and members of the public on Sept. 10 focused on “Shaping Wyoming’s Future”.

Cheyenne-based Language I/O founder and CEO, Heather Shoemaker, was recently recognized in Inc. Magazine’s seventh annual Female Founders list, an esteemed accolade honoring 250 women whose innovations and ideas are making significant business impacts. Shoemaker is the only woman recognized from Wyoming.
The inaugural class of The Wyoming Academy wrapped up last week in Casper, Wyoming, and while organizers celebrate the growth and connections of the first cohort, they also are looking ahead to the next set of leaders to join the program this June.
The Wyoming Business Council is looking for teams of community leaders committed to working on economic development challenges to take part in a free workshop focused on cultivating a shared vision and collaborative momentum.
The Assessment to Action (A2A) Planning Workshop is a comprehensive, hands-on opportunity tailored for teams of three to eight individuals devoted to enhancing the economic well-being of their local communities, regions, industries, or state organizations. Teams will dive into a locally-led, problem-driven planning approach that empowers them to impact on root problems.
The Wyoming Business Council (WBC) and Leadership Wyoming proudly announce that applications are now open through March 10 for the second cohort of The Wyoming Academy, commencing June 2024.
