Wyoming Business Council Hosts Statewide Watch Parties to Mobilize “Team of Thousands” Around Economic Vision

Public Invited to Observe Legislative Budget Process and Discuss Wyoming’s Future

The Wyoming Business Council (WBC) is hosting a series of statewide watch parties designed to increase public engagement and awareness around the legislative budget process and the future of Wyoming’s economy. Citizens are invited to attend in person on Thursday, December 4th, to observe the WBC’s presentation to the Joint Appropriations Committee (JAC).

The event is framed around the core message that “Change is a team sport!” Join a JAC Watch Party and be part of Shaping Wyoming’s Future.

The WBC’s presentation will outline its Vision for a More Resilient Wyoming Future and detail the necessity of strategic investments and “big bets” required to reverse negative economic trends, such as youth outmigration, and ensure long-term prosperity.

“This is a critical moment for understanding Wyoming’s economic planning,” said Business Council CEO Josh Dorrell. “It will take a Team of Thousands – informed citizens and engaged community leaders – to ensure our state moves forward. Change doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It requires informed, collective action. These watch parties are the starting line for that mobilization, providing the tools and knowledge needed to engage with the legislative process effectively.”

Why Join a Watch Party?

The WBC encourages Wyomingites to attend and bring a friend, neighbor, or coworker to maximize statewide participation. Attendees will gain the following:

  • See Democracy in Action: Observe the JAC process firsthand and learn how state budget decisions are formed and what impact they have on local jobs, innovation, and economic growth in your community.
  • Connect & Organize: Join fellow community members who share a passion for Wyoming’s future. The event is an opportunity to connect with people organizing for awareness around the WBC’s vision.
  • Learn Your Role: Attendees will learn how to engage with the legislative process and share their own vision with decision-makers.
