Cheyenne, Wyo. – The Wyoming Business Council (WBC) is pleased to announce the addition of a new board member to our Board of Directors. Governor Mark Gordon nominated and the Senate confirmed Derek Smith of Gillette to our board with a term expiration of March 1, 2025.

Derek is a Landman with Devon Energy and volunteers his time as the president of the Gillette Main Street board and as a public relations volunteer for Cheyenne Frontier Days. He was also appointed to a partial term on the Wyoming Main Street Advisory Board and will serve in both roles.

In addition to Derek’s appointment, John Coyne III, Cindy Johnson. Chuck Kenyon, and Kathy Tomassi were all reappointed for their second three-year terms to the Board of Directors, expiring on March 1, 2025.
