The PR/Media program works closely with over 300 travel writers, editors, broadcasters and other media professionals worldwide. We provide the latest in technology including high definition video, podcasts, RSS Feeds and an online PR management program that allows us to get information out in a timely and efficient manner.
We accept unique story ideas and lists of what’s new across Wyoming. In addition, we send media leads as they become available and provide direct contact with journalists. Opportunities also exist to host journalists and show them the real Wyoming.
Another Wyoming Weekend is a popular campaign that highlights tourism related events across the state. This information is sent weekly and is distributed through tourism partners, regional newspapers and the Cowboy State News Network. Events may be submitted by anyone in Wyoming by logging into MyWyoming on the Wyoming tourism Web site. For help, please contact Angi Harper 307.777.2881 angi.harper@visitwyo.gov.
Media and public relations efforts provide a cost benefit for those seeking exposure without paying the high cost of direct advertising. Contact Chuck Coon at 307.777.2831, chuck.coon@visitwyo.gov or Lori Hogan, 307.777.2889, lori.hogan@visitwyo.gov for additional information on any of our media and public relations efforts.
Crisis Communication Plan
The purpose of the Wyoming Travel and Tourism Crisis Communication Plan is to provide for the accurately, timely, coordinated, appropriate and understandable release of tourism related information to the general public in times of potential and actual crisis and emergency incidents in and/or near Wyoming impacting or having potential to impact the travel and tourism industry.
News Clips and Media Impact Reports by County
Wyoming Travel & Tourism partners with Vocus PR, an online media and public relations software program that manages our PR efforts. One of the many features includes an advanced analytics package. We are able to track news clippings and determine circulation and ad value for every county in Wyoming. This is available through an RSS Feed. You may subscribe to any of the feeds or simply save them as favorites in your internet browser. The first item will always be a PDF of the Media Impact Report. All subsequent items are links to articles. These reports will be automatically updated by the 10th of every month. Contact Lori Hogan, 307-777-2889, lori.hogan@visitwyo.gov for additional information.
