Business Council seeks public input on draft strategic plan
CHEYENNE – The Wyoming Business Council has outlined its goals for continued service to the state’s communities, businesses and residents in a draft strategic plan and is seeking the public’s input on it.
The Business Council is holding public input forums about the strategic plan in each of its seven regions: Riverton on Oct. 15, Diamondville on Oct. 16, Wamsutter on Oct. 17, Worland on Oct. 21, Gillette on Oct. 22, Casper on Oct. 23 and Cheyenne on Oct. 24.
“We are laying out a roadmap for business development and improved quality of life in all of our communities,” said Bob Jensen, CEO of the Wyoming Business Council. “We hope people will come out and give us their thoughts on whether we’re heading down the right path. It is an important document for us all and we’d like to know what people think.”
In recognition of the Business Council’s tenth anniversary, board co-chair Jim Davis encourages public input. “Help us set the direction for the Wyoming Business Council’s next decade in guiding the state’s course for economic development,” Davis said.
The Business Council Board of Directors and staff have been developing a business plan that incorporates strategies to guide the agency over the next several years. The strategic plan, which is part of the overall business plan, focuses on improving the quality of life for people in Wyoming; promoting business development that complements the state’s assets; and cultivating Wyoming communities where people want to live, work, visit and play.
