Cody chosen as site for Wyoming Outdoor Product Days
CHEYENNE – The Wyoming Business Council announced today that Cody will be the host site for the Wyoming Outdoor Product Days, Aug. 25-27.
The event will bring together Wyoming’s outdoor product manufacturers along with state and national outdoor media in an environment which allows on-site demonstrations of Wyoming products. This summer demonstrations of Wyoming firearms will be held at the Cody Shooting Complex, while fishing equipment firms from around the Cowboy State will have an opportunity to put their equipment in the hands of the national media at streams and rivers near Yellowstone National Park.
“Buffalo Bill was the original outdoorsman, so this is a perfect place for all of the exhibitors who manufacture Wyoming products to bring their wares,” said Claudia Wade, director of the Park County Travel Council.
Wade added, “We’ll be able to show a great shooting complex, along with fly fishing in the area along with our great landscapes and wildlife.”
The Wyoming Business Council held the inaugural Wyoming Outdoor Product Days in August 2006 in Casper and brought 16 Wyoming shooting, hunting and outdoor trade companies together with six national outdoor writers. The result was nearly $100,000 in advertising equivalency for Wyoming firms taking part in the event.
Wyoming outdoor companies or members of the Wyoming Outfitters Association interested in participating in the Wyoming Outdoor Product Days are encouraged to contact Wyoming Business Council Senior Marketing and Public Relations Specialist Tom Lacock at 307.777.2834 or tom.lacock@wybusiness.org. Cost for the event will be $100 per Wyoming company, which includes all catered meals, range rental or time fishing as well as receptions. A block of rooms has also been reserved for Wyoming companies at a discounted rate.
The mission of the Wyoming Business Council is to facilitate the economic growth of Wyoming. For more information, please visit the Web site at www.wyomingbusiness.org.
