Business Council board to have public forum in Rock Springs
CHEYENNE –The Wyoming Business Council Board of Directors plans to hold a public forum in Rock Springs this week to learn how the Business Council might better serve area residents.
The forum is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 4 – 5 p.m. at the Rock Springs Hampton Inn.
"We are looking for input on how to better serve the communities and businesses in this area, and to learn how current Business Council efforts have impacted the region’s residents,” said Bob Jensen, chief executive officer of the Wyoming Business Council.
The board will hold its formal meeting on Thursday, Sept. 11 to review grant applications totaling over $6 million for seven Wyoming communities.
The meeting, which is also open to the public, will begin at 9 a.m. at the Rock Springs Holiday Inn. Additional time for public comment is also provided for at the meeting beginning at 1:30 p.m. Visit www. wyomingbusiness.org to review the agenda.
The board will hear updates on contracts from its University of Wyoming partners, Wyoming Travel and Tourism, and the Oct. 9-10 Wyoming Idea Expo (www.wyomingideaexpo.com). Additionally, applications for Community Facilities grants and Business Ready Community grants from Alpine, Frannie, Goshen County, Hartville, Powell, Sheridan, and Upton will be reviewed at the Sept. 11 meeting.
