Wyoming Housing Infrastructure Loan Program applications available
CHEYENNE –The application for the Wyoming Housing Infrastructure Loan Program is now available on the Wyoming Business Council’s Web site.
There is $1 million in loans available to help communities pay the cost of extending publicly-owned infrastructure to the boundaries of a housing development. In 2007, the Wyoming Legislature created the program, administered by the Wyoming Business Council, for housing related infrastructure activities that would lead to affordable, workforce housing.
Eligible activities include: rights of way; sewer and water distribution projects; storm water control and drainage facilities; streets, roads and bridges; curbs, gutters and sidewalks; lift stations; traffic signals; street lighting; payment for the additional cost of over-sizing water and sewer distribution lines through or to a subdivision to accommodate future expansion; the purchase of land as necessary to accommodate infrastructure projects. Other infrastructure consistent with the purpose of the program including but not limited to the following, if publicly owned: telecommunications, electric utility lines, gas utility lines, infrastructure required by local government regulation.
