Appliance Rebate with Energy Star
The State of Wyoming has been approved by the Department of Energy (DOE) to use $511,000 of stimulus funds for a Wyoming statewide appliance rebate program.
The State Energy Office is working with a contractor to refine details of the program. The program is scheduled to roll-out April 15, 2010.
The ENERGY STAR items that will be considered for this program are: clothes washers, diswashers, furnaces and hot water heaters. Rebate amounts are as follows:
- Clothes Washer - $100
- Dishwashers - $50
- Gas Furnaces - $250
- Electric Heat Pump Water Heaters - $150
- Tankless Gas Water Heaters - $150
- Solar Water Heaters (Electric or Gas) - $150
Residents may not be rebated for items purchase prior to program roll-out. Information will also be distributed through retailers and utility companies.
