Mr. Russo, a graduate from Charleston Southern University with a BA in Marketing and MBA in Business Administration started his international career in 2003 with the South Carolina World Trade Center (SCWTC) when he was named the Education and Trade Services Manager in August of that year. During that time, he worked closely with numerous companies with diverse product lines, which include everything from pecans to metal
working. He was also responsible for the US Department of Agricultures Export Readiness Training Program that was sponsored by the Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA) for the State of South Carolina. He also authored the SCWTC Import/Export curriculum-The Nine Steps of Import/Export. In June of 2006, Mr. Russo was named the General Manager of Trade Development for the WTCA.

In this role Mr. Russo brought World Trade Centers (WTC) together leveraging their strengths in order to develop trade and trade related projects in the areas of import/export, logistics, education, staff training, and research. Mr. Russo worked on projects around the world in Germany, Russia, China, Canada, Algeria, and Lebanon to name a few.

In November of 2005 Mr. Russo started a hybrid trading company, TradeHub International, where he integrated suppliers/buyers, logistics and storage options for clients. THI opened it’s first international office in March of 2008 in Cuernavaca, Mexico. It is a not-for-profit focused on immigration and trade projects. THI has completed contracts with CCPIT in China, Nova Scotia Business Inc. in Canada and Mexico Caulidad Suprema in Mexico. In his work with the aforementioned government entities, Russo recruited and worked with companies looking to enter foreign markets. These projects were focused on direct foreign investment and export opportunities. THI also offers customized solutions for businesses. Research, market penetration strategies, training/education, international business analysis and product development are all part of THI’s service offerings. Russo has offered keynote addresses, seminar series and specialized training around the world for chambers, universities and government agencies. In 2014, Russo worked with Tec de Monterey in Veracruz, Mexico to develop a minor program that allowed students to engage small to medium sized companies in order to conduct research and trade missions that will lead to export opportunities. The program is supported by both the state and federal government. The second year of the program commenced in August of 2015.
