Manager, Marketing and Public Relations
The Wyoming Business Council is looking for a Manager of the Marketing and PR Office to lead and develop marketing strategies, media relations, social media, web development, publication development, photography, and video production for all divisions and partners. This full-time position resides in Cheyenne, WY and may require travel.
- Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Directs, develops and implements strategies for marketing, communications, and media relations for the entire agency. Supervises and organizes the efforts of the Marketing and PR office. Provides guidance on communication strategies. Leads communications efforts; acts as a spokesperson for the agency, develops media strategies and works with the media. Directs all web development and publication efforts, as well as updating the web sites and developing collateral materials. Develops, writes, and edits communications such as: editorials, newsletters, press releases, and public reports.
- Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
Requires leadership experience in providing overall communication strategy to include developing media and communication strategies. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment requiring management of projects and staff simultaneously and meeting deadlines. Requires strong communication skills. Knowledge of the Associated Press style. Knowledge of Adobe CS4 Suite (Photoshop, Acrobat, Audition, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) and HTML. Needs to have experience in web development and social media. Experience with video production and photography a plus.
- Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, design, public relations or equivalent, plus at least five years of work experience in the marketing and public relations field.
