The mission of the Wyoming Business Council is to facilitate the growth of Wyoming’s economy.  To accomplish its goals, the Wyoming Business Council helps retain and expand existing Wyoming Businesses and industries; recruits targeted businesses to the state; and works with communities to develop infrastructure to become business-ready.  The Business Council’s divisions include Agribusiness; Business and Industry; Investment Ready Communities; Support Services; Travel and Tourism; and Field Operations.

Clarene Law, Jackson, Wyoming

Clarene Law is an innkeeper from Jackson. She served 12 years as a member of the State House of Representatives and was a charter member of the Wyoming Business Council.

Mrs. Law is CEO of Elk Country Motels, Inc., and serves on the Board of Directors for Jackson State Bank, Snow King Resort, Jackson Hole Resort Association and the International Leisure Hosts Board of Directors-Phoenix Chapter. She is on the Wyoming Business Alliance steering committee and is a current member of and past Chairman for, the Wyoming Lodging and Restaurant Association and received the Big Wyoming award in 1987. She was named Jackson Hole citizen of the year in 1976, Wyoming Small Business Person in 1977 and Business Person of the Year in 1987. She was past Chairman of the Board of Directors for Teton County Schools. Mrs. Law was elected to the House of Representatives in 1962 and currently chairs the House Minerals Committee.
