The mission of the Wyoming Business Council is to facilitate the economic growth of Wyoming.

The creation of the Wyoming Business Council in 1998 dramatically changed Wyoming's approach to economic development. Unlike the state's previous economic development efforts, this new organization has more of a corporate structure, incorporates private business practices in order to drive programs and has instituted regional offices throughout the state.

The State of Wyoming created the Wyoming Business Council to focus public and private efforts to build a strong job creation base in the new economy with manufacturing and technology as core competencies while strengthening the existing business and industry groups under energy, agriculture, tourism and travel.

  • Board of Directors - The Business Council is part of the state government, but its structure resembles a corporation with a CEO and a board of directors. Each member of the board is a successful business owner from Wyoming. Click here for more information on the board and board meeting minutes.
  • Employment Opportunities - Interested in joining the Business Council team? Check to see if the WBC has any open positions.
  • History - Learn about the Business Council's history.
  • Legislation - The Wyoming Business Council encompasses Wyoming Statutes 9-12-101 through 9-12-804

Key Programs
